Cheap and good

Clay has a saying he uses at work "Cheap, fast, or good? Pick two and the third is irrelevant." We have decided or house will be cheap and good, which means it's not fast. I'm okay with this. Over the past couple of weeks we've started closing everything up. The walls in the kitchen and the ceiling in the living room have drywall now. We've mudded and sanded, mudded and sanded, etc. It's dirty work, but the house is really taking shape.

I bought a new (to us) door knocker. Apparently I inadvertently bought a 7" cast iron vagina. Whoopsie! Oh well, I still think it's awesome and I have no problem displaying it on my front door.

But yes, I guess it does look like a vagina.

Today my super beautiful bathroom sink arrived and it is better than I expected in person. It should be, it's been on backorder for months and I thought I was going to have to get a different one. Things are really starting to come together. I will be able to post some better pictures soon, now that we are doing stuff worth looking at.

I'm not minding the time it is taking us to get this all done, but because when it is done, it's going to be amazing!
